I am involved in translational research into malaria with the ultimate goal of applying genomic research output to inform malaria control and elimination. My research revolves around understanding the role of parasite genetic variations and drug resistance in malaria.

In close collaboration with the National Malaria Control Programme, NMIMR conducts studies on the efficacy of anti-malarial drug used in Ghana to track the immergence and spread of resistant parasites and to inform drug policy in Ghana.
