Research interest
Oumou’s research interests lie primarily in the molecular resistance of antimalarial drugs identified by studying the genetic diversity and population structure of Plasmodium falciparum and isolating signatures of natural selection.
Research conducted
From BNITM, Oumou is on secondment at the African partner site KCCR in Kumasi, Ghana where she is coordinating projects on malaria gametocyte dynamics and on the impact of NTDs on malaria incidence and transmission.
