Research interest in line with PDNA/DELGEME program:
Mayor’s research interests lie primarily in the characterization of malaria infections and serological markers of exposure in pregnant women as a sentinel group to monitor malaria transmission in elimination contexts, as well as on the development of molecular assays for the diagnostic and molecular characterization of antimalarialresistance in the context of intervention strategies to control and eliminate malaria
Research activities conducted in your Institute in line with PDNA/DELGEME program:
CISM is monitoring malaria morbidity and mortality as well as the intensity of transmission, immunology and molecular studies to understand acquisition of immunity against malaria and the mechanisms of life-threatening disease and antimalarial resistance. CISM is conducting a program to assess the effectiveness of drugs that could interrupt parasite transmission and operational research undertaken to develop the best strategies for malaria elimination.
