Launch of DELGEME Training Program for African Scientists at MRTC
The Malaria Research Training Center (MRTC) has been hosting DELGEME Master, PhD, and Post-Doc Fellows for their first training course since July 17th, 2017 to develop the skills of young African scientists in the fields of bioinformatics, genetics/genomics, and epidemiological data analysis, and improve their knowledge in scientific writing, oral communication, ethics, and mentoring.
The training started on July 17th with an official opening ceremony:
- The Director of DELGEME, Professor Abdoulaye DJIMDE, and all of his Staff,
- The Director of MRTC, Professor Ogobara DOUMDO,
- The Representative of the Rector of the USTTB, Professor Mahamadou DIAKITE, and the Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy, Professor Boubacar Traore.
They wished the participants a cordial welcome and hoped that the training would have a major impact on the Fellows’ research projects.
This first module, which focused on Epidemiology and Study Design, was very participatory with a practical approach to learning.
The entire team of trainers wishes participants every success in the continuation of their training.
