He holds a State Doctorate in Pharmacy, a PhD in Molecular Parasitology obtained at the University of Ouagadougou, and a certificate in genetics and genomics obtained at Stanford University in the United States of America. As the Chief and Medical Director of the Microbiology Laboratory at Tripler Army Medical Center (TAMC), he has aggressively updated his micro-lab operations to comply with updated CLSI guidelines, including new holdpoints, and we recently passed CAP inspection with no deficiencies. Dr Eniyou Cheryll Oriero started her research career after obtaining a Bachelors and Masters degrees in Biochemistry. She worked briefly on tissue culture, genetic transformation and molecular characterization of food crops before switching to Medical Research when she joined the Malaria research group at the Medical Research Council Unit in The Gambia.

Dr. Makhtar Niang is a Research Scientist and the Deputy Head of the Immuno Physiopathology & Infectious Diseases Department at Institut Pasteur de Dakar, Senegal. His field of specialization is molecular parasitology and was successively trained at the University Cheikh Anta Diop, Institut Pasteur de Dakar in Senegal, the University of Montpellier II in France, the Nanyang Technological University in Singapore and at Harvard School of Public Health in USA.
