PARTICIPATION OF DELGEME PLUS MASTER STUDENTS IN AMR DURING INSP SCIENTIFIC DAYS – FIRST EDITION

The National Institute of Public Health (INSP) organized its first Scientific Days at the International Conference Center of Bamako (CICB) on January 9 and 10, 2025.
Objective of the event:
The opening ceremony was chaired by the Minister of Health and Social Development, Colonel Assa Badiallo Touré. It brought together many personalities, including the Director of the INSP, Prof. Ibrahim Guindo, the President of the Scientific Commission, Prof. Seydou Doumbia, as well as the representative of FAO, WHO and WHOA whose speech was part of the Global Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR) Week. This event brought together internationally renowned scientists.
The central theme of this first edition was:
“Prevention and control of pandemics and disasters: the role of research and innovation”,
“Innovation to adapt to the context”.
The main objective was to highlight scientific research, promote the sharing of results and promote their practical application to improve knowledge and practices.
DELGEME Plus students’ participation:

DELGEME Plus students played an active role by hosting a stand where they presented the DELGEME Plus project and the progress of their Master’s program dedicated to antimicrobial resistance.
This first edition was marked by numerous panels, round tables and discussions bringing together actors from the public and private sectors, as well as political decision-makers around questions such as the importance of promoting the results of scientific research and the need for increased funding to support research and innovation.
Recommendations were submitted to the Minister to guide future initiatives in this area.
To close these memorable days, certificates were awarded to INSP alumni in recognition of their efforts and contributions.
In total, 220 scientific communications and 50 posters were presented, covering a wide range of areas related to health as well as other related disciplines.
