Visit of the new Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research
This Wednesday, June 19, 2019, the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Professor Mahamadou FAMANTA, visited the University of Science, Technology and Technology of Bamako. He met with the scientific community represented by, among others, the Rector of the USTTB, Professor Adama Diaman Keita, Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy, Professor Boubacar Traoré, and Dean of the Faculty of Medicine and Odontostomatology, Professor Seydou Doumbia.
One of the goals of the Minister’s visit was to observe the work done on-site by the University’s researchers. The visit was an opportunity to discuss with various officials the progress of their respective programmes.
The Minister visited the DELGEME site and was informed about the missions and objectives of the programme. Dr. Antoine had the honour of giving a presentation on the current state of the DELGEME programme at its Bioinformatics Training Room.
For the record, many resources are put in place by the programme to better support the students of the USTTB.
This day of the Minister’s visit has, once again, promoted research and, in particular, the specific objectives of DELGEME, as well as its strong collaboration with the University.
