Research interest in line with PDNA/DELGEME program:
Mayor’s research interests lie primarily in the characterization of malaria infections and serological markers of exposure in pregnant women as a sentinel group to monitor malaria transmission in elimination contexts, as well as on the development of molecular assays for the diagnostic and molecular characterization of antimalarialresistance in the context of intervention strategies to control and eliminate malaria
DELGEME aims to develop advanced technical and analytical skills of African scientists in relevant areas of Bio-informatics, next generation sequence analysis, population genetics, epidemiology, statistical and cellular and molecular biology in collaboration with local and international partners for malaria control and elimination in sub-Saharan Africa.
